Professionals, participants and generally interested visitors will experience a wide range of subjects from different sectors of the water management industry. It reaches all stages of the value-added chain of water management: From drinking water productionto water supply and pipeline construction to water disposal and wastewater treatment – because water is a global market.

Wasser Berlin shows "The bigger picture"

Influence of international finance management, growth of population and demographic change, climate change and international legislation today determine the day-to-day operations of water management companies.

Water today is a global market commodity. Therefore water management companies have to redefine the economic role of water and their position within this changing context. Supporting this process, Wasser Berlin International focuses on a strong systematization of water management, concentrating on water recycling methods thereby considering points of intersection of related subjects.

In addition and for the first time, Wasser Berlin arranged for six competence centers, which are established to highlight the selected key issues of this trade fair. They emphasise on specific issues and present innovative solutions that are meant to withstand future challenges of the global water market.

Extensive supporting program

The congress taking place at the Wasser Berlin International 2013 on 24th and 25th of April is focused on Innovative concepts, latest technology and solutions for far-sighted water management. It is organized by the "Wasser Berlin e.V." association.

There are different centres addressing issues of Water processing, Waste water management and industrial water treatment as well as responsible utility management.

Further highlights include the 8. International pipeline symposium on April 24th and the "Schaustelle Wasser" tour on April 25th where the implementations of modern and innovative procedures are presented in practice.

Strong international character

In 2011 at Wasser Berlin International about one third of exhibitioners and visitors came from outside Germany. The estimated numbers for 2013 even exceeds this number.

Emphasis are particularly placed on Arabic countries. ACWUA, Association of Arabic Water Management counting members from 17 different states with the headquarters in Amman, is official partner to Wasser Berlin International. Within this cooperation an Arabic forum was established, which concentrates on water management in the region.

Further forums are held by different countries in the exhibition halls providing detailed insight on the water management industry in selected markets.

The event "Blue Planet – Berlin Water Dialogues" coming up on April 25th and 26th is aimed at encouraging dialogue between participants of the economy, scientists and representatives of the national and international political arena.

This event is being hosted by Messe Berlin GmbH in cooperation with the Berlin Senate Department for Economics and Technology.

Up-and-comming talents

Skilled young talents are very much needed in the water management industry. Wasser Berlin therefore established the "Young Water Professionals Program" as an integrated part of the fair. As an exchange program and educational forum it focuses on junior engineers, young scientists and students from Germany and all parts of the world. Participants have the opportunity to establish contacts and have job opportunities checked out by a job agency.

The career day on April 26th is also going to be of similar interest. Here companies present themselves and their current job vacancies.
