Bauer Resources wins Soil Remediation Contract in the "Schwarze Pumpe" Industrial Area SPREMBERG/GERMANY, June 27, 2017 – The soil of the former grounds of a gas combination plant in the "Schwarze Pumpe" industrial area is highly contaminated which has led to groundwater pollution. Bauer Resources GmbH has been commissioned with the contract to remove this contamination by building and operating a vacuum treatment plant as well as replacing or decontaminating the soil. Remediation of the Kesslergrube Landfill: Bauer finishes large-diameter Boreholes GRENZACH-WYHLEN/GERMANY, May 29, 2017 – The German-based special civil engineering expert Bauer Spezialtiefbau GmbH has been carrying out drilling works as part of the remediation project on the former site of the Kesslergrube landfill since July 2016. The task was to drill the large-diameter boreholes for the construction of a secant pile wall – the project is nearly completed. Fleet of Potain Cranes helping to build massive Hospital Complex AALBORG/DENMARK, May 11, 2017 – 15 Manitowoc Potain tower cranes are currently supporting a large-scale construction project in Denmark: The construction company MT Højgaard is using eight Potain GTMR 386 B self-erecting cranes, six Potain MDT 178 tower cranes and one Potain MDT 218 A J10 to help build a new hospital project for Aalborg University. >more
Doka-formworking Power for mega-scale Hydro in Canada WINNIPEG/CANADA, April 27, 2017 – Formwork manufacturer Doka has closed its biggest ever power-plant deal in North America: for the construction of the Keeyask Generating Station 300,000 sq ft of Doka formwork are in use. Volvo amphibious Excavator helps with Restoration in Chesapeake Bay BALTIMORE/USA, April 10, 2017 – Maryland Environmental Service is using a Volvo amphibious excavator to restore Poplar Island, a once diminishing remote island habitat in the Chesapeake Bay, North America. ProjectWise Construction Management System by Bentley for Closure of polluted Dump HAGÅTÑA/GUAM, March 27, 2017 – Guam, an island located in the western Pacific Ocean and unincorporated and organized territory of the United States, needed to close a former military dump that was introducing polluted leachate into the Lonfit River. Bauer involved in Foundation of Offshore Wind Farm off Scotland MORAY FIRTH/UK, March 7, 2017 – Wind energy is one of the most important renewable energy sources. Liebherr Concrete Mixing Plant used to expand Russian Airport MOSCOW/RUSSIA, February 17, 2017 – A Liebherr concrete mixing plant is currently being used to expand an airport in Moscow and is supplying concrete for a new runway. The Liebherr Betomix 4.5 DW works with the new generation of double-shaft mixer and has an output of up to 190 m³ per hour. A complete airport city is being constructed at the rapidly growing Domodedovo airport as part of the "Aerotropolis DME" project. >more
Prime Horizontal launches MudVis System BEVERWIJK/THE NETHERLANDS, February 2, 2017 – Dutch-based Prime Horizontal, supplier for HDD (Horizontal Directional Drilling), is launching a newly developed, automated mud viscosity and specific gravity measuring and logging system called MudVis. Hobas Cooling Water Pipeline for Austrian Steel Plant DONAWITZ/AUSTRIA, January 27, 2017 – For the steel manufacturer voestalpine AG in Donawitz, a more than 100 m long Hobas GRP Pressure Pipeline De 1720 has been installed by means of curved jacking. Despite challenging circumstances, the installation was successfully completed within only two months. >more
14 Groves perform Multi-Crane Lift ANTWERP/BELGIUM, January 11, 2017 – A total of 14 Manitowoc Grove cranes were used to simultaneously lift a pipeline in the course of an industrial plant project in Antwerp. Each of the GMK all-terrain cranes lifted a 6.1 tonnes section of the pipeline. The job posed a new – and successfully completed – challenge for the Belgian company Aertssen Kranen. >more

ProKasro cures a 280 m long Liner under Vistula River KRAKOW/POLAND, October 31, 2016 – A culvert running under the Vistula river in Poland was in need of renovation, which involved curing of a 280 metres long liner. Connecting Scotland: Wacker Neuson Equipment for new Queensferry Crossing SOUTH QUEENSFERRY/UK, October 18, 2016 – The Queensferry Crossing in the east of Scotland is a construction project of great importance for the Scottish traffic planning. MB supplying Screening Buckets for Caucasus Pipeline Project BAKU/AZERBAIJAN, September 14, 2016 – The 692 km South Caucasus Pipeline has been designed to transport gas from the Shah Deniz field in the Azerbaijan sector of the Caspian Sea, through Georgia and on to the Georgia-Turkey border. New Herrenknecht TBM: Europe’s largest all set for Tunnelling Job in Italy SCHWANAU/GERMANY, September 5, 2016 – The new titan among European tunnel boring machines has been completed: the Herrenknecht TBM for the Santa Lucia Tunnel in the Apennines has a diameter of 15.87 meters. Asphalt Removal by Wirtgen in record-breaking Time: New Runway for Sardinia ALGHERO/ITALY, August 15, 2016 – Located roughly 8 km northwest of the city of Alghero, Alghero-Fertilia Airport is one of three commercial airports on the Italian island, along with Cagliari Elmas and Olbia. The latest Generation of Excavator Tuning: Kiesel Lift Star BAIENFURT/GERMANY, August 4, 2016 – The Kiesel Lift Star (KLS) combines a basic machine in three different tonnage classes ranging from 30 to 50 tonnes with either a mono-block or a multi-use boom. The result: up to 50 percent more lift power and pulling force compared to other machines of the same tonnage. Bauer starts drilling large Diameter Boreholes for the Kesslergrube Remediation Project GRENZACH-WYHLEN/GERMANY, August 3, 2016 – The remediation project of the former Kesslergrube landfill in southwest Germany has been worked on by the responsible companies BASF and Roche since spring 2014. In summer 2015, Bauer Resources GmbH was assigned with the remediation of perimeter 1/3 NW of the former landfill by Roche Pharma AG. The primary task is to excavate and collect 280,000 tonnes of soil in safety containers. >more

Herrenknecht Rig helps building a speedy Pipeline Connection in Australia ANGLESEA/AUSTRALIA, July 8, 2016 – In just three months Australian drilling contractor Dunstans Construction Group installed a 700-meter-long pipeline in Anglesea (Victoria). A 250 tonnes HDD Rig from Herrenknecht played a key role in the achievement. Within a very short time the construction crew built a sea outfall with the machine, as well as pulling in the pipeline all the way back to the local water treatment plant. >more
