Liebherr Drilling Rig begins Work on Kuala Lumpur Project KUALA LUMPUR/MALAYSIA, September 20, 2017 – A new Liebherr rotary drilling rig, namely the LB 44-510, is part of a fleet of specialist foundation engineering machinery, that has been put to work on the Sentral Suites project in Kuala Lumpur. Sentral Suites is a trendsetting project in the Sentral district and is supposed to be the last building project of a comparable size in this very popular central area. >more

BKT to build new Carbon Black Production Plant BHUJ/INDIA, August 29, 2017 – Balkrishna Industries Limited (BKT), Off-Highway tire manufacturer, will build a new plant for the production of carbon black. This facility will stretch over approximately 8 hectares within the BKT production site at Bhuj, in the Indian state of Gujarat. The production forecast is about 60,000 tons/year. An initial investment of 23 million US dollars has been earmarked. >more
Changes to the Executive Board of Putzmeister Holding AICHTAL/GERMANY, August 21, 2017 – The Supervisory Board of Putzmeister, the German-based manufacturer of concrete pumps, mortar machines, mining equipment and thick matter pumps, has announced the termination of the contract with Dr. Karch by mutual consent. Fleet of Potain Cranes constructing Residential Project in Regensburg REGENSBURG/GERMANY, August 1, 2017 – A new residential and commercial district, named “Das Dörnberg,” is currently being built in Regensburg, Bavaria. 13 Potain tower cranes are working on the large scale construction project, including a Potain GTMR 386, six MDT 218s, one MDT 192, three MDT 178s, one MDT 162 and one MD 120. Prince Lift buys new and refreshed Skyjack Units YONGIN/SOUTH KOREA, July 27, 2017 – Skyjack (Linamar Corporation) has announced that the Korean rental company Prince Lift is adding new and refreshed Skyjack mobile elevating work platforms (MEWPs) to their rental fleet in Yongin, following a trial purchase. GP MAT International installs six Raimondi Cranes in Parisian Suburb PARIS/FRANCE, July 21, 2017 – Italian crane manufacturer Raimondi’s exclusive agent in France, GP Mat International (GP MAT), has completed the installation of six cranes in Saclay, a southwestern suburb of Paris. Bauer Resources wins Soil Remediation Contract in the "Schwarze Pumpe" Industrial Area SPREMBERG/GERMANY, June 27, 2017 – The soil of the former grounds of a gas combination plant in the "Schwarze Pumpe" industrial area is highly contaminated which has led to groundwater pollution. Bauer Resources GmbH has been commissioned with the contract to remove this contamination by building and operating a vacuum treatment plant as well as replacing or decontaminating the soil. Remediation of the Kesslergrube Landfill: Bauer finishes large-diameter Boreholes GRENZACH-WYHLEN/GERMANY, May 29, 2017 – The German-based special civil engineering expert Bauer Spezialtiefbau GmbH has been carrying out drilling works as part of the remediation project on the former site of the Kesslergrube landfill since July 2016. The task was to drill the large-diameter boreholes for the construction of a secant pile wall – the project is nearly completed. Vätterbygdens Kran AB expands Services with Demag All Terrain Crane JÖNKÖPING/SWEDEN, April 4, 2017 – The Swedish Vätterbygdens Kran AB, based out of Jönköping, adds a newly commissioned all terrain crane – the Demag AC 250-5 – to its range. The crane by the Terex brand Demag has a main boom length of 70 m (229.7 ft) and a 21-m (68.9 ft) folding swing away jib. German Construction Equipment Industry increased Turnover in 2016 FRANKFURT/GERMANY, March 3, 2017 – In 2016, German manufacturers of construction equipment achieved a turnover of 9.3 billion euros which is an increase of 3 percent compared to 2015. Within the same period world sales of construction equipment declined by 1 percent. Thus, German companies performed slightly better than the world market. Terex completes Sale of Material Handling and Port Solutions Business WESTPORT/USA, January 6, 2017 – Terex, manufacturer of lifting and material processing products, has sold its Material Handling and Port Solutions brand to Konecranes, a manufacturer of cranes and lifting equipment, headquartered in Hyvinkää, Finland.
